A high level delegation consisting of officials and experts from the Ministries of Agriculture and Food Processing of India visited Indonesia for the 2nd meeting of India-Indonesia Joint Working Group on Agriculture on 26-27 March 2013 in Bali. The meeting was held in pursuance of the MoU between the two countries signed in December 2008 for Cooperation in the field of Agriculture.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed to enhance collaboration, through projects, in the area of animal science, horticulture, natural resources management, agricultural engineering, crop science and food processing industry as well as capacity building through exchange of scientists.

As both India and Indonesia face similar challenges and have similar priorities in the agricultural sector, increased bilateral cooperation and sharing of experiences in the agricultural sector will immensely benefit both the countries.
