First Foreign Office Consultations Between India and Indonesia

The first meeting of Foreign Office Consultations between Ministry of External Affairs of India and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Indonesia, was held at Bali, Indonesia on 17 June 2013. The Indian delegation was led by Mr Sanjay Bhattacharya, Joint Secretary (South), Ministry of External Affairs of India, and the Indonesian delegation by Ms. Listyowati, Director for South and Central Asian Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Indonesia. 

The talks were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, signifying the close and historical ties enjoyed by the two countries. Both sides exchanged views on all aspects of bilateral relations, regional, and international matters of mutual interest. The meeting also reviewed the ongoing cooperation between India and Indonesia in various fields and exchanged views on further expanding and strengthening the broad based relationship. 

The next round of Foreign Office Consultations will be held in India at mutually convenient dates.
